Changes are ahead for John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, as their careers continue to hit high notes. The power couple have revealed that following an upcoming move to Los Angeles, they intend to start a family.
“We want a lot of kids,” the supermodel told DuJour. “I would love to have three or four of my own and then adopt a few. So basically, I’ll be pregnant the rest of my life.”
And it is ‘imagining pregnancy’ that inspired the Sports Illustrated cover girl to go au naturel in a pictorial for the magazine – revealing her bare face and body.
The 29-year-old continued: “You look at Kim Kardashian and see how women’s bodies just become so beautiful. The thought of getting boobs thrills me. And John loves pregnant women.”
John could not agree more with his beautiful wife, revealing that he finds an expectant mother’s figure quite alluring. Commenting, John said: ‘I’m attracted to the heightened femininity.”
The crooner, who has made women swoon since his breakout success with 2004’s Ordinary People, admits that his many years as an entertainer would serve him well in a household of girls.
‘I’m a musician, I’m good with women and I’m a feminist so I think I’ll be a good ‘girl daddy,’ he admits.
For the couple of nine years, the forthcoming new journey in their relationship comes as they get ready for a move to Los Angeles where Chrissy will serve as host of the ABC talk series, The Fab Life.
She joins lead moderator, Tyra Banks, along with fellow panellists, Yahoo! Style Editor, Joe Zee, designer Lauren Makk and YouTube star, Leah Ashley, when the weekday show premieres later this year.
“How does this work? Can you call in sick?” Chrissy joked about the new TV gig adding, “I’ve never had a job where it mattered if you were sick. With modelling, as long as you’re not barfing in the photo, no one cares if you’re sick.”
Grammy winner John plans on finishing his forthcoming album on the west coast to be by his lady’s side. Such a move which is to create his latest musical project should serve him well as Chrissy was the muse behind his 2014 Billboard Hot 100 number-one single hit, All Of Me, a first in his career. “I was inspired to write this by a beautiful, intelligent and dynamic woman,” John had said on stage. “And I am so proud we won this together tonight.”
During the shoot, there was no shortage of affection between the pair with Chrissy making flirtatious banter and sitting on the entertainer’s lap.
“I never understood the purpose of being secretive and coy and trying to disguise the fact that you’re together,” John remarked to DuJour on their PDA.
“It’s odd to shut off a major section of your life and say, ‘Well, that’s off-limits. We don’t discuss everything in public but I feel like it’s ok to show people that we love each other.”
The singer and the knockout began dating after they met in 2006 on the set of his music video for Stereo, and later walked down the aisle in 2013.
“The more I got to know her I started to realize how funny and cool she was. You meet all kinds of good-looking people but she was so vibrant and engaging. Even when we’d text, she was always saying something clever.”
For the DuJour pictorial, the stunner let her natural beauty shine without makeup on the serene beachside locale. The UGG Australia model posed nude as the water rushed her enviable figure in the black and white photos. In another image from the set she sat along the water’s edge as waves splashed against her backside.
Dressed in a plunging white lace dress, Chrissy’s cleavage is on show as she’s pictured styling her hair indoors in a sepia-tinted photo, and it is complemented by an image of John sitting down as he looks off into the distance.
The lovebirds share more intimate moments like a kiss while clad in bathrobes with picturesque waves hitting the sand behind them.
Paying a nod to his role as a musician, Chrissy is by her man as they are both seated on a piano and she cradles a baby goat. Other snaps show Chrissy posing in a dramatic white dress with flyaway hair and in another; she lies on the ground in a sundress as she’s surrounded by John and a band. The stunning pictorial was shot by Bruce Webber and appears in DuJour’s summer issue.
